Water Extraction and Carpet Re-Tack at a Hurricane Rental

Carpet in a Hurricane rental had gotten wet, and the property manager sent us out for it. We pulled the water out, set fans, and stretched and re-tacked the carpet on the same work order.

Water out first

Wet carpet relaxes and can pull away from the tack strip. Extraction and airflow come first so the carpet and pad can dry before anyone puts tension on them.

Then stretch and re-tack

Carpet that let go while wet is stretched back tight and re-tacked along the edges. If the pad or subfloor shows damage, that gets flagged to the property manager before new material goes in.

Working in Hurricane

This was one of 5 carpet repair jobs we have done in Hurricane since May 2025.

Hurricane sits on the road to Zion, so rentals and second homes make up a good share of our work here. Homes range from older properties near the center of town to newer builds on the west and south sides.
